Description
This track dates back to 2016, when I presented the first version of it, under the name of Riviera 2017. That one left much to be desired, so I abandoned the project for many years. It was inspired by southern locations and mostly that classic Cote d’Azur track from NFSPU. It has a bayside area with ships and night illuminations, too. The textures are colorful and unusual, somehow psychedelic, and not up to everyone’s liking. Yet I enjoy it all myself.
Lately I have received lots of useful help and advice from pete9516, who has actually done half of the improvements on the track. In fact, he performed the following:
- smoothened the road and pushed AI intelligence to the limit
- created the best possible visibility data, so most glitches disappeared
- designed many atmospheric “raytracing” night effects, using the most recent achievements by AJ Lethal and other modders
- replaced snowy soil effects with summer ones
- last, but not least: he improved the quality of shortcuts which I created in a hurry and never had any time to improve.
Maybe I forgot something, but that’s it. I am really thankful to you, my distant friend Pete. I also give my regards to AJ. Things that you guys do with the T3ED are insane!
Installation: put the Summit folder into your Data/Tracks game folder and rewrite when prompted.
Credits: I was not the only one who made the track, and we all put lots of efforts into it. So please respect our work and put our f.. g names wherever you upload😊 However, you may improve this track as you like, giving us credit accordingly. In that case, please leave the Readme file unchanged.

Converting Summit to a coastal region is such a fresh and nice idea. I really appreciate that.
Too bad that I am one of those people who don´t like that "colorful and psychedelic" look... My first reaction was like:" WTF?!? This looks like a fever dream!" We can never have enough new track for NFS4 but I would rather see a more realistic approach. Sorry. Maybe you should consider a V2 with more natural textures and a more polished scenery and I am "all in".
